Marikit Saturay (PH)

Marikit M. Saturay fled the philippines as a political refugee in 2006 and put her life-story into her music. She performs regularly at socially engaged events in, among other venues, Tolhuistuin, Pakhuis de Zwijger, Podium Mozaïek, Studio/K and Nieuwland. Marikit is also active in the Linangan Foundation (Willem Geertman kunst- en cultuurnetwerk), a non-profit foundation of Dutch and Filipino-Dutch persons who undertake activities to inform the Dutch public about the situation in the Philippines, mainly through art and cultural activities.
