Laurent Chanal (FR)

Laurent Chanal aka Lo-Tech French DJ and composer Laurent Chanal started his career in 96 mixing progressive trance and tech-house in local clubs. In 2000 he joined the Ultimae record label and started composing a few years later in collaboration with Vincent Villuis the label owner. He then joined Phil Rodriguez with whom he set up 2 Guy’s on the Rock. Their first EP ‘Eskomo’, released on Pulp Recordings label and remixed by Mashtronic features on Carl Cox’s DVD and received warm support from John Digweed, Markus Schulz, Sasha and Pole Folder to name but a few. In 2009 he started to compose solo and changed his “Petit Ange” moniker to Laurent Chanal. His first tracks were signed to Reworck, Resopal, Inclusif, Electronical Reeds... Laurent is a composer in several facets because he also turns on another more techno project in color of Detroit, he can make a mixer of sounds progressive and melodic under his so called second name "Lo-Tech". His first EP "Twisted Fish" is signed on the US label Hijacked Records Detroit and is supported and played by Laurent Garnier. Laurent is still a very active Dj on the international scene sharing the stage with Sasha, John Digweed, Anthony Pappa, Chab, Nukem, Stefano Greppi…Each mix, each composition is a sensual and surprisingly powerful mix of electro, progressive house and trance grooves infused with layers of hypnotic atmospheres. « ...
