With his roots firmly planted in hiphop, jazz and disco, Larry de Kat steadily grew towards a minimal house sound laced with groove and soul. His sets are characterized by swinging basslines and sexy hi-hats, built around stripped down beats. Catnip funk that drives even the baddest cats in town completely crazy. Larry’s productions follow in the same vein. Thanks to a studio filled with vintage gear, his tracks have a warm and an analog sound. After having kicked his habit to hide under cars, Larry de Kat is now slowly but surely claiming the spotlight with releases on Slapfunk, Times and Ruff.
