Ger Hatton provides consulting and advisory services in the areas of Intellectual Property, Copyright and Trade related aspects of IPRs to international cultural industry clients focussing particularly on policy emanating from Brussels and Geneva, and in that capacity also serves as of-Counsel to IMPF, the Independent Music Publishers International Forum. Ger Hatton was previously CEO of the International Confederation of Music Publishers where she spearheaded the music industry’s representation to WIPO and the European Union, increasing the level of IP protection for music publishers globally. Since 2016 Ger has her own firm, Hatton.eu, providing advisory services in IP, Copyright, TRIPS and bi/multi-lateral Free Trade Agreements. Ger is the former Chair of the Board of Directors of the European Federation for Intercultural Learning (AFS in Europe), and the former Head of Public Affairs Europe for Ogilvy Public Affairs Worldwide. She currently serves as a Member of the International Cooperation Expert Group to the European Union Intellectual Property Office (EUIPO).
