DAYL (IE)

Artist

A career in music is more a journey than a destination, but DAYL’s limitless potential is starting to manifest.
One of the most exciting production talents to emerge from southwest Ireland in the past decade,
DAYL’s career may have begun as that of a local hero. But he is fast-becoming one of the region’s most notable international exports. On home soil, he has graced festival stages from Electric Picnic to Life Festival, rubbing shoulders with electronic music royalty. Here, the Shannon-born star has supported giants of the scene. Names such as Dusky, Alan Fitzpatrick, Matador, Darius Syrossian,
Riva Starr and many more.

Production-wise, his shaking 2018 collab with Damon Hess Retrovision set underground dance floors alight while he is no stranger to Flashmob Records, having released two originals and one remix on the Italian imprint.

Building on the success of his past three summers here, DAYL has enjoyed a blistering 2019 season on the white isle. He commanded residency on Saturday nights at Eden for WNDRLND, as well as playing regularly for Together at Amnesia. Despite all that, he still found time to cross another goal off the bucket list in playing inside Hï’s infamous Wild Corner. Further slots saw him set sail weekly with the Pukka Up crew and hold the fort for House Of Paradise at O Beach. It wasn’t only Ibiza he
conquered, as DAYL made the leap to sister party-island Mallorca, to play for Sintillate at Nikki Beach every fortnight as well as appearing at Elrow Town Festival in London. He finished the season on an exclamation mark, joining the Toolroom Family to shut down their Sunday night Eden residency. Just reward for heading up their workers parties all summer, Winter might be calling, but DAYL is doing anything but going into hibernation. Solid time in the studio awaits as well as a monthly residency in
Manchester for WNDRLND at Gorilla.
