Darude (FI)

While famed for the global smash 'Sandstorm', Darude's long and successful career has seen him release four studio albums, earn a string of awards and multi-platinum discs, and perform at festivals and club shows in over 80 countries worldwide - a testament to his status as an international artist within the electronic music scene. With a style that is a mixture of progressive and uplifting trance and house, fused with elements of techno and breaks, Darude's music delivers dynamic dancefloor energy. Hailed by DJ Magazine as "Finland's biggest musical export", Darude has performed at festivals and events worldwide, including Ministry of Sound, Exchange LA, Parookaville, Radio 1's One Big Weekend, Groove Cruise, Dreamstate SoCal, Weekend Festival Baltic, and Tomorrowland. His music has also led him to headline TwitchCon several times, represent Finland at Eurovision, perform at the opening ceremony of the 2023 IIHF Ice Hockey World Championships, as well as at numerous eSports championships such as The International, and even in the video DJ Hero. In 2017 a special New Year's Eve countdown was set in Helsinki in front of 100,000 people, with Darude performing as part of the celebrations of 100 years of Finnish independence.
