Daan Determeijer (NL)
Before becoming a professional in the music industry Daan Determeijer worked for several media companies and also was a DJ and event promotor. He’s one of the co-founders of crowdfunding platform & music label Africa Unsigned, working with some of Africa’s most talented artists like Sauti Sol a.o. Via underground label Basserk Records he moved to MusicAllStars Publishing in 2013 and took the A&R role at the publishing sister-company of the world’s leading dance label Spinnin' Records. In this role, he helped the growth of the company and develop the roster, including Oliver Heldens, Sam Feldt, Niels, Kris Kross Amsterdam, Mike Williams, and Afro Bros. Writers on his roster had cuts with artists such as Ty Dolla $ign, Lady Gaga, Nicky Jam, J Balvin, Tiësto, Hardwell, Martin Garrix, Britney Spears, David Guetta, Luis Fonsi, Anitta and many others.
In 2022 Daan moved to Dutch Collecting Society BUMA/STEMRA in a new position focusing on International Members and internationally successful Members from the electronic music scene.
Buma/Stemra represents composers, lyricists and music publishers. The organization provides remuneration for music use on radio, TV, streaming services, venues and in hospitality, retail and business premises, among other things. In addition, Buma/Stemra promotes Dutch copyright both at home and abroad. For example, Dutch composers, lyricists and music publishers are offered an international stage by supporting major events such as Eurosonic Noorderslag and the Amsterdam Dance Event.
