Cairo Liberation Front is the new wave of Egyptian wedding rave. The Dutch duo started to promote the sonic Arabic revolution by mixing electro-cha3bi music that comes from the popular neighbourhoods of Cairo where producers use cracked software to combine American hip-hop, eurohouse and Arabic rhythms. Imagine Omar Souleyman meeting Sean Paul and Aphex Twin at a wedding party. Since the New York Times and The Guardian discovered their mixtapes, they've played lots of shows on proper festivals like Fusion, Pukkelpop and Dour. At the moment CLF is finishing their debut album so you probably will here some new stuff tonight.
