Brian Cid (US)

Artist
Brian Cid is the definition of a true multi-talented and ambitious music professional. A first hand charts topping producer, powerful mix engineer and fearless DJ. Inspired by the golden age of house music, his latin roots and anywhere he can capture inspiration, Brian Cid’s refreshing Tech-House and Deep fused sound (occasionally laced with soulful, female vocals) seamlessly bridge the old school and new school of underground dance music. Always one to keep listeners on their toes, New York's own Brian Cid is a leading tastemaker among American tech house artists. With a bold, inventive outlook on production and a grace- ful flare for delivering high-energy DJ sets, there's simply no stopping Brian as his career continues to catapult to the top of the game. In a short period of time behind the underground music scene, Brian Cid has produced and engineered projects for Mark Knight, Danny Tenaglia, Yoko Ono, Chus + Ceballos, Todd Terry, Marcos Carnaval, Redroche, The Disco Biscuits and Amanda Wilson – just to name a few. With continued success proving his multidimensional talents in various genres, legendary house music DJ and Producer Todd Terry humbly offered to mentor and work with Brian Cid. Later that year, Brian Cid released his first original records rapidly engraving his music in the House music scene. His first single entitled “Slave to the Beat” with little to no marketing under Terry’s label, InHouse Records garnered over 40K web impressions in its first week. The follow up release called 'Keep On Rockin' also has been a success this time picked up by VEVO blasting over 70K views in the first week and receiving great support from A-list DJ's like Roger Sanchez, Armand Van Helden, Chus y Ceballos, DJ Sneak, etc. It hit strong on TRAX- SOURCE on #9 on the Top 10 House Charts and #14 on Juno on Weekly Bestseller. The year 2012 was an incredible year for Brian Cid releasing 18 records peaking #43 on the Dance Charts Billboards with his Amy Weber - Let it Rain Remix - released under Dauman Music/Republic Digital - after the record made an extraordinary leap from #20 to #6 on the UK Music Week Chart. Followed by Dominatorz and Bassmonkeys’ – “Don’t Throw it Away” featur- ing vocalist world renowned singer Amanda Wilson, which climbed to #24 on the Hot Dance Club Billboard Chart (issue date march 24, 2012). 'See U Move' by NYC top producers Hybrid Heights & Sted-E (Anton Bass & Brian Cid Remix) reaching #9 on the Billboard Dance/Club Plays and his most recent and biggest success - his production of Meital & Sean Kingston song 'On Ya' reaching #31 on the Billboard Dance Charts. 2013 started with releasing many records on world reknown imprints as Stereo Productions (SP), Nervous Records (NYC), Vamos Music (FR), Tommy Boy Records (NYC), Kult Records (NYC), Almibar (SP) and many others. Since then Brian has invaded the Tech House scoring 8 charted records in Traxsource, 5 of which were top 10. Currently working from his NYC studio in East Village, as well as his own label called Extinct Records, Brian Cid continues to produce and engineer notable, multi-genre projects across the world.
