Bas Struik (NL)

Artist
Bas Struik was born in Eindhoven (The Netherlands) in the mid 80’s and for as long as he can remember he has been surrounded by music. At the age of 17, he bought his first turntables. His already existing passion for electronic music grew even bigger and bigger after purchasing his first set of decks. He started collecting records and could be found in “Rare record store” 7 days a week. The first few years, he played a wide range of genres: from techno to minimal and from disco to house. Artists that inspired him a lot are: Marco Carola, Omar S, Romanthony, Robert Dietz, Depeche Mode, Loco Dice, Luciano, Paco Osuna, Lauhaus and Marco Resmann. Bas started out playing on big illegal raves like Diepgezonken, which got him into club nights in cities like Amsterdam, Utrecht, Eindhoven and Nijmegen. One of his most memorable gigs in those days, was in the Effenaar in Eindhoven, playing alongside Dave Clarke and 2000 and One.
