Axel S (CH)

Having cut his teeth in the underground network of London’s top-tier clubs, Axel S has developed an enviable ear for a groove. This has led the Swiss native to co-found vinyl-only imprint and event series Untold Stories. Having recently launched, the 12” quickly sold out, and Axel’s track “Loving You” packaged together his many influences that succinctly converge on the infectious energy of disco, the raw emotion of house, but with flashes of mind-bending minimal aesthetics.

Now residing in Switzerland, Axel S maintains his place in the world community with well-placed guest slots as well as regular label showcases both at home and abroad. Fantastic examples of these appearances are many, but his Yoyaku instore in Paris, residency at Studio B in Geneva, and label showcase at London’s The Lion & Lamb typify the calibre of this artist's talents. Plans are already afoot to bring Untold Stories to a city near you soon, but first of all, the anticipated second record is baked and nearly ready to come out of the oven.
