Ashley Howard (GB)

Ashley manages PRS for Music’s relationships with writer and publisher members who specialise in dance/electronic music and raises awareness of PRS for Music’s service within the genre. He is also part of a project team that is evaluating how Music Recognition Technology could be used to identify music played by DJs in licensed clubs, bars, pubs and music festivals in the UK. PRS for Music pay royalties to its members when their work is performed, broadcast, streamed, downloaded, reproduced, played in public or used in film and TV. Ashley's introduction to the music industry was at distribution company SRD as a sales rep for over 100 UK music retailers before spending nearly 10 years at leading independent drum & bass label Hospital Records, heading up their publishing company but also working extensively in A&R, label management and sync licensing.
