Andrew Makkinga (NL)

Andrew Makkinga is a radio DJ and Presenter who was born in Uganda and raised in the Netherlands. As a radio DJ he’s been active for more than 15 years focusing mainly on soul, jazz, hip-hop, reggae and African music. He currently hosts a weekly podcast for the Dutch public broadcaster NPO Soul & Jazz called: “Makkinga Meets”, in which he interviews artists and other industry related guests. He’s also the TV host of the annual North Sea Jazz Festival in Rotterdam.
