Secretly created and recorded within the quiet corners of his living room, Sjaak Douma’s sole venture as Analogue Dear is as heartfelt as it is bold. In a leap of faith and as an outlet of his most personal hopes and fears, Analogue Dear sang, strummed, hit the drums, and recorded every other single track on it’s 6-track debut EP ‘Drawing Patterns’ without prior experience on any other instrument than his piano. Resembling sound wise a soft whispery take on Death Cab For Cutie as well as the sparse electronica-infused sounds made popular by Morr Music, Analogue Dear is led by dreamy melodies, delicate fingerpicked guitars and a love for grand-yet-intimate cinematic arrangements.
