Alex Preston (GB)

Since the inception of his live show and his exciting new style of house music in early 2018, Alex Preston has gone from strength to strength. The Sydney-native utilises his skills as a virtuoso musician as he melds tasteful guitar licks and disco-tinged funky bass lines, with warm, pulsating house beats to create an exciting new style of underground house music. Over the past few months Alex’s music has received support from the likes of Sonny Fodera, Sam Divine, Low Steppa, Tube & Berger, Fisher, Idris Elba, Fatboy Slim, Kideko, Tuff London, Kryder, DJ PP & The Aston Shuffle; with artists playing his tunes at Defected events in Croatia, Ibiza & ADE. While his live show is setting dancefloors alight all over Australia with an innovative blend of live guitar licks and mixing. Recently signing with Sonny Fodera’s, Solotoko imprint, Alex finished off the year with a huge remix of Sonny’s single, Somebody New, which smashed its way up the Traxsource charts. Alex Preston kicked off 2019 in style with the release of his Ain’t Gonna Cry EP on Solotoko. Brimming with musicality and vitality, Ain’t Gonna Cry marked an exciting new direction for Alex Preston’s ever-evolving sound and the start of an extremely successful 2019. Alex shared the stage with Sam Divine at Defected Sydney in February, and released his debut “Treat Me Right” EP on Sam’s flourishing label, DVINE Sounds. “Treat Me Right” not only smashed it’s way the Top 3 on Traxsource, but Defected Records also gave it the nod adding to their coveted Defected Ibiza Compilation 2019 Mixed By Simon Dunmore and Sam Divine. More recently, Alex has released his “You Wanna Dance” EP on Low Steppa’s infamous Simma Black imprint and “Gonna Find A Way” with Canadian House champions Phoenix Music further adding to his breakout year in 2019. With even more records and collaborations in the pipeline, Alex hopes to showcase his exciting style of house throughout the rest of the year.
