Aaron Ross ()
Aaron Ross is a name synonymous with quality House music around the globe. His career in music spans over 15 years, Having held the position of A&R manager for Defected Records for 6 years, and previously holding the only house show BBC 1xtra for 5 years and earlier in his career handling club promotions and dance music A&R for Virgin Records UK. From his roots in pirate radio, to playing alongside and remixing dance music’s biggest names Aaron is renowned for his inimitable take on House music, drawing inspiration from the old skool and fusing it with contemporary, innovative sounds to make his DJing style unique and fresh. His passion for house music in the 90’s quickly took him to a long term residency at institutional London club night, Missdemeanours, playing alongside the likes of house music heroes Lottie, Danny Rampling, David Morales and Erick Morillo. His first track under the guise of Rain People and featuring Marcus Begg, was released on Osiris music in 2003 and became something of a soulful anthem subsequently picked up by U.S label soulshine, that release was quickly followed with a string of solid productions including acclaimed releases under the alias Fanatix alongside Neil Pierce. To date he holds an extensive list of successful self produced tracks and has acquired the reputation of a sought-after remixer for artists such as Jamiroquai, Blaze, Ultra Nate, Kings of Tomorrow, Dennis Ferrer, Ben Westbeach and Estelle. His production style is instantly recognisable with a strong mix sound, timeless songs and solid drums, and in 2008 released, to critical acclaim, a full length LP on BBE Records under the Fanatix alias. Other recent projects include 2 releases for restless soul , the follow up to “Love Potion” with Gia Mellish entitled “Feel My Love” and an EP of Deep house cuts on acclaimed label Lost My Dog also forthcoming in September 2013 is a single for the legendary King St Sounds label featuring the vocal talents of April Morgan titled “No More Lies” Aaron has also recently formed his own artist management company Infinite Future Management where his years of experience will see him guide the careers of others to reach the heights of global success.
