Universal Tongue: Dialogue Session
Universal Tongue: Dialogue Session
Dialogue session on Universal Tongue:
On ADE Thursday, De Nieuwe Schatkamer will host a dialogue session on the themes of Universal Tongue—an impressive video installation by renowned artist Anouk Kruithof, recently added to DNB’s art collection. This dialogue explores how dance transcends boundaries and celebrates our shared humanity, diverse histories, and individual uniqueness.
Anouk Kruithof’s artwork will be on display in DNB’s city garden on weekdays from October 22 to 27: check here for more information.
Swiftonomics with Rupal Patel:
The program continues with the fascinating story behind Swiftonomics, featuring economist Rupal Patel, who reveals the impact of superstars on local and global economies. From rising hotel prices to boosts in GDP—superstar tours are no longer just concerts, but economic mega-events.
In the panel discussion that follows, we’ll explore themes such as the economic power of superstars, how live music transforms cities into temporary economic hotspots, and the impact this might have on smaller artists and local venues.
After the program ends, you’re welcome to join us for drinks in the foyer.
Programme:
15:30 - 16:00: Dialogue on the themes of Universal Tongue
16:00-17:30: Panel discussion with Rupal Patel
17:30: Drinks in the foyer
In the evening, De Nieuwe Schatkamer will also host a screening of the documentary "Studio 54": check here for more information.

Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+). These are Dutch governmental rules which state that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club.
Please double-check the promoter's or venue's website to be sure you can access the event!
Yes, the Pro Pass grants you access to all ADE official festival events. Even if a festival event is sold out, you can still access the event with your ADE Pro Pass wristband. During ADE there are over 500 festival events and hundreds more cultural and conference events you can enter with the wristband. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a limited capacity that each venue can take into account for ADE Pro wristband holders. This means that, for some of the more crowded events, you have to arrive early to ensure attendance. Once capacity is reached, ADE Pro holders will be let into the event on a one in-one-out basis.
We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other.
