Ravers2Runners present: 3rd Annual Charity 5km Run

Ravers2Runners present: 3rd Annual Charity 5km Run

Thursday 23rd October; Ravers2Runners, the festival run club, return to Amsterdam Dance Event for the 3rd annual ADE 5km Charity Fun Run. Over the last years hundreds of music industry figures and lovers of electronic music culture have come together to kick off the intense marathon that is ADE conference week with a run around Westerpark, home to the temple of techno, Gashouder!

R2R promotes wellbeing and balance through community and running so it’s the best way to prepare physically and mentally for the conference whilst also raising money for charity just by registering and showing up.

This year we are raising for Free To Run charity,
founded in 2014 by ultra-runner and human rights lawyer Stephanie Case, Free to Run's mission is to advance gender equity globally through running. Operating in Afghanistan, Palestine, and Iraq, Free to Run empowers girls and young women in conflict-affected regions through running and rights-based programs - and is building a global movement of runners using their sport to drive lasting social change.

We’re thrilled to welcome Free To Run’s NL ambassador Mirjam Heldmann, founder of Amsterdam’s MyRunspiration, along with our amazing local partners, Running Late Club.
Founded in Cape Town in 2018, Running Late Club has since expanded to Amsterdam and beyond, championing running as fun, social, and accessible for all, regardless of pace or background.

Together, Ravers2Runners, Free To Run, Running Late Club and MyRunspiration will assemble in Westerpark, central Amsterdam at 8am on Thursday 23rd Oct.
Following an ice-breaker group warm up, we’ll embark on an accessible 5km trail run in nature that provides an opportunity to meet other like-minded dance music lovers! Registration location will be an independent cafe inside the park so runners can warm up and support local business at the same time.

Registration is limited to ensure another year of safe running, all proceeds to be donated to Free To Run which is a registered charity in NL.

Westerpark blends green spaces, a lively creative and nightlife scene, and iconic architecture. Along with its regular exhibitions, markets and festivals, the converted Westergasfabriek gasworks contains indie shops, eclectic eateries, an art-house cinema, a brewery and a dance club. Nearby, the Museum Het Schip is the focus of a residential area of red-brick Amsterdam School buildings

Festival FAQ

ADE Festival tickets will be sold via the festival event organizers individually. Therefore, we advise you to keep an eye on their own website/socials.

Not to worry! Make sure to contact the event (or their ticketing provider) you are visiting as soon as possible with as many details about your order; name, email address, amount of tickets, etc. Once they've recovered your order, the tickets can be resent to your email.

Need help to find your event's contact details? Message us at [email protected] and we'll be happy to help.

Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+). These are Dutch governmental rules which state that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club.

Please double-check the promoter's or venue's website to be sure you can access the event!

Yes, the ADE Pro Pass grants you access to all ADE official festival events.

Be aware though that there are over 1,200 events during ADE that you can enter with the Pro Pass wristband and that ADE cannot guarantee access. There is a limited capacity that each venue can take into account for Pro Pass holders. This means for some of the more crowded events you have to arrive early. Once capacity is reached, we will go over in a full-for-now policy. The festival event organizer will decide when and if more people are allowed to go in.

The ADE Pro Pass is the perfect fit if you are planning on enjoying the combination of day and night events. If you want guaranteed access to a particular festival event, we advise you to get a single festival ticket instead.

We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other. We expect an open attitude from our visitors towards other guests, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age. If you see or experience any unwanted attention, harassment or behavior of any kind that makes you uncomfortable, please speak out and notify staff.

Please keep in mind: we love being your annual host, therefore, we would like to ask you to enjoy yourself responsibly.

ADE is proud partner of the Celebrate Safe campaign.
