RADAR X ADE: YoungWoman, Nathan Kofi & FIGI

Melkweg RADAR goes ADE! On the evening of Friday October 24th, we will host another ADE-edition of Melkweg RADAR, introducing three artists from the electronic fields. With live performances and dj-sets, they will bring their unique visions and crafts into play.

Joining this year's line-up are YoungWoman, Nathan Kofi & FIGI.

YoungWoman
A rigorous sonic maximalist who thrives at the intersection of many musical realms while transcending them all. Her explosive energy combined with an irresistible playfulness always leaves her audience spellbound. This unmistakable artistry has resulted in her being named as one of the top DJ talents in the Netherlands two years running, and has earned her appearances at Rewire Festival, Down The Rabbit Hole Festival, De School, C12, Garage Noord, to name a few. No matter what music you like, you will dance with this YoungWoman!

Nathan Kofi
Nathan Kofi, Amsterdam-based DJ/producer, co-founder of De Lichting, music educator and nightlife advocate with 11+ years within the house, techno and ambient sphere. Nathan is a house DJ with a varied approach and accumulated experiences from an array of established festivals, promoters and clubs such as: Low Lands, Down The Rabbit Hole, Best Kept Secret. And Breakfast Club, De School, Dekmantel, and Studio 80, among many others.

FIGI
FIGI is the alias of Vijay Weemhoff, an artist, composer & DJ from Amsterdam. Who discribes his own distinctive sound as a melting pot of inspiration he got from Electro, Detroit style Techno, (Italo/Space) Disco and Fusion Jazz. FIGI is signed on the Amsterdam based record label Magnetron Music, home to artists like Fatima Yamaha, Comtron and Le Le. His debut album “Fig. 1” came out earlier this year. FIGI's live sets are versatile and shaped around the audience and events, this way they have proven to work well in dark intimate night clubs and daytime festival slots.

Melkweg is located in the only remaining factory building on the Amsterdam canal belt: a former sugar and, later, milk factory. The historic building hosts two concert halls, a cinema, a multidisciplinary hall and an exhibition space.

In Melkweg, established names stand alongside new talent, and emerging trends are given the opportunity to reach a wide audience. The diversity in programming and audience, in combination with the different spaces and the special location, have made Melkweg a unique place for years.

Most festival events have an age limit of 18+ (and sometimes even 21+ or 23+). These are Dutch governmental rules which state that below the age of 18 you are not allowed to enter a club.

Please double-check the promoter's or venue's website to be sure you can access the event!

Yes, the Pro Pass grants you access to all ADE official festival events. Even if a festival event is sold out, you can still access the event with your ADE Pro Pass wristband. During ADE there are over 500 festival events and hundreds more cultural and conference events you can enter with the wristband. One thing to keep in mind is that there is a limited capacity that each venue can take into account for ADE Pro wristband holders. This means that, for some of the more crowded events, you have to arrive early to ensure attendance. Once capacity is reached, ADE Pro holders will be let into the event on a one in-one-out basis.

We dance together, so please be mindful of yourself and each other. We expect an open attitude from our visitors towards other guests, regardless of their origin, gender, sexual orientation, religion and age. If you see or experience any unwanted attention, harassment or behavior of any kind that makes you uncomfortable, please speak out and notify staff.

Please keep in mind: we love being your annual host, therefore, we would like to ask you to enjoy yourself responsibly.
