Nothing Here Now – Music for Nobody: Moin | Susu Laroche & MOBBS | Fuuturejazz | Zohar | Bahati

Shifting boundaries with international live acts and DJs curated in collaboration with club phenomenon Zohar.

As part of Amsterdam Dance Event, BIMHUIS and Zohar present Nothing Here Now – Music for Nobody, a live-curated night exploring the edges of sound—from the raw unpredictability of Moin to the hypnotic force of Susu Laroche + MOBBS, and from the forward-leaning visions of Fuuturejazz to the deep resonance of Bahati. Zohar adds a singular live film score.

Moin
Moin are a London-based three-piece featuring Tom Halstead and Joe Andrews of the electronic outfit Raime, alongside visionary percussionist Valentina Magaletti. Their music recontextualizes a range of guitar-based genres—grunge, shoegaze, and post-rock—through an enigmatic reimagining of the traditional band dynamic. Employing both conventional and unique compositional techniques, their sound is marked by a visceral immediacy that comes to life in full force during their live performances. Moin walk the line between the reassuringly familiar and the unsettlingly inquisitive.

Susu Laroche + MOBBS: ZERO

MOBBS and Susu Laroche take the stage with their latest collaborative release, ZERO, out on Modern Love. This live set fuses scorched electronics, ritualised vocal performance, and shadow-drenched visuals into a charged experience that oscillates between trance, confrontation, and total sensory collapse. Egyptian/French artist Susu Laroche’s fractured, cinematic voice is pulled through layers of distortion and analogue grit, while producer MOBBS constructs tectonic frameworks of bass, static, and rhythm.

Zohar

Zohar has a razor-sharp and highly dynamic club-signature. With years of formative experience controlling dancefloors, the artist has been treading a diverse and eclectic musical path. Zohar’s productions have appeared on the illustrious ZHR label, distributed in collaboration with Clone, and on compilations such as DKMNTL X PATTA and Traumgarten. Zohar has performed at renowned festivals such as Dekmantel and FIBER, and has recently collaborated with dance performer Hannah Grennel, formerly of The Royal Ballet.

Fuuturejazz

Enter the sonic playground of Fuuturejazz, an experimental electronic crew guided by the eternal spirit of jazz. Jazz, not strictly in the sense of swung drums and elaborate horn solos, but in its broader essence of taking conventions, bending and breaking them, of improvisation and playfulness, of coming together and building something new.

Bahati

DJing between sets is collage artist Bahati, co-founder and curator at HOTHEAD. Expect footwork, jazz, juke, singeli, and other sounds from the African diaspora.

Bimhuis

The BIMHUIS is the place for pioneering musicians and curious listeners of all generations. It was founded in 1974 as a place to give Dutch jazz its own stage. Soon, it became one of the most important Dutch stages for improvised music. Nowadays, the liberal jazz blood has remained: in the BIMHUIS, rules are still being broken, holy houses kicked down and so-called boundaries crossed.
