Mastering the Mix: DJing Brazilian Funk with the Pioneers
Artist: DJ Guiz
Brazilian Funk is a genre with complex, off-kilter rhythms that make it uniquely challenging to mix. In this essential masterclass, Guiz, straight from the Brazilian underground Funk scene, will guide you through the fundamentals of DJing Funk.
Learn the techniques and insights directly from a pioneer who helped shape the sound. Guiz will break down the structure of Funk music and demonstrate how to blend tracks seamlessly, giving you the practical skills to mix the genre with confidence.
This masterclass offers a unique opportunity to dive into the art of Brazilian Funk with Guiz himself.
Note: Following this masterclass, Brazilian Funk artists will lead the panel talk “From the Baile to the World: The Journey of Brazilian Funk,” exploring the culture and stories of the artists within the scene. Organized by Baile da Galecta and Criativos Foundation.
