Speakers: Anne van der Erve (Online Licensing Specialist, BumaStemra), Maxine Brauman (Online Licensing, BumaStemra), Omar Kabbara (Youtube)
Level: Intermediate
Your music can earn money in more places than just streaming platforms. In this session you will learn how music royalties work when your tracks are used in TV shows, films and online videos. From video-on-demand platforms like Netflix to user-generated content on YouTube, we will break down how these systems work in a clear and simple way.
You will find out how your music earns money when your music is used, how to make sure you get paid, and what new opportunities are appearing with things like micro-sync licensing (no worries, this will all be explained!). Make sure you receive your royalties and turn plays into payments.
