For more than a quarter of a century five-time Grammy Award winner and multi-platinum music producer Bernard ‘Focus…’ Edwards Jr., son of Chic’s legendary bassist and founding member Bernard Edwards, has taken the lead behind the boards for ground-breaking and generational artists including Kendrick Lamar, Beyoncé, Anderson .Paak, Eminem and many others. Since 2001 he works closely with production icon Dr. Dre, and he has been a key contributor to the sound, production, and team at Dr. Dre’s record label Aftermath Entertainment since. As official staff producer Focus… worked side by side with Dr. Dre to help craft Dr. Dre’s most recent solo album Compton and guide the artist roster at the legendary Aftermath label in their musical development. In his keynote Q&A Focus… will share his most valuable stories and the unique insight he gained after decades of working with music’s top talent - on topics such as artist career development, collaborating and co-creating the most impactful sounds, and the evolution of music production and the creative process in a fast-paced digital world.
