Black Dance Music - A Conversation Across Multiple Generations
HoneyLuv (Artist) & DJ Minx (Artist)
Moderator: Tiffany Calver (BBC radio1xtra)
America’s dance music roots come from black and gay culture, a history that often gets overlooked in today’s world of mainstream EDM. BBC Radio 1Xtra's Tiffany Calver sits down with two cross generational artists, Detroit’s DJ Minx, who has 30 years behind her as a beloved house and techno figurehead, and producer/DJ HoneyLuv, the rising star taking the world by storm with her futuristic, deep tech sound. The trio will discuss their own personal experiences, and their perspectives on the future of black artists in dance music.
