Your Guide through the ADE x Amsterdam 750 Program
ADE Arts & Culture x 750: Immersive Concerts & Cultural Showcases
One of the overarching highlights of ADE and 750's collaboration is a series of special live performances in unique cultural venues, with one showcase each day celebrating the diversity of the city’s music and arts. On Wednesday, Oct 22, ADE launches to the cosmos: synthesizer legend Suzanne Ciani performs under the ARTIS Planetarium’s dome, accompanied by artist Julius Horsthuis’ stunning 360° fractal projections. The next evening, the grandeur of the Concertgebouw becomes a dance floor for “Suriname Rising: 50 Years of Freedom in Music,” a unique concert blending electronic music and rhythms to celebrate 50 years of Surinamese independence. In a venue famous for its acoustics, you’ll experience beats and storytelling by Sarah-Jane & the Black Excellence Kawina Orchestra, followed by DJs Lamsi and Jarreau Vandal - with the hall’s seats cleared out so the crowd can truly move.
By the weekend, the cultural showcases take a contemplative turn. ADE Friday into Saturday offers perhaps one of the most unusual ADE events: ZERØBPM, a 39.5-hour ambient meditation marathon set in the serene Thomaskerk church. Beginning early Friday morning, this continuous experience invites you to unplug and lie back as 26 electronic music artists spin ambient sets, all woven together by a live guided meditation for nearly two days straight. Then on Saturday night, head to Wereldmuseum Amsterdam for a journey into global club culture. “Wereldmuseum presents Chinese Club Culture” is an action-packed evening exploring China’s underground electronic scene, mixing traditional influences with modern beats. The crown jewel of ADE x 750’s club events is De Nacht x Amsterdam 750 - Final Festival on Sunday, Oct 26. This is the grand finale of a year-long series celebrating Amsterdam’s nightlife, and it goes out with a bang: a full-day, indoor & outdoor mini-festival at the combined SkateCafe and Garage Noord complex in Amsterdam-Noord.
Finally, on Monday (Oct 27) – Amsterdam’s 750th birthday – ADE closes out with a one-of-a-kind concert that’s equal parts celebration and reflection. In the historic Concertgebouw, local electronic heroes Young Marco, Legowelt, and Mary Lake perform live ambient sessions to mark the city’s big day. These artists, usually heard in clubs, will step away from the dancefloor to craft slower, spacious soundscapes in an intimate setting. It’s a fitting tribute to Amsterdam’s musical journey on the very night it turns 750.

Record Shops & Vinyl Sessions
Amsterdam’s beloved record shops and cafes transform into music venues during ADE x 750, making vinyl lovers and crate diggers feel right at home. Spend the afternoon flipping through records and catching live sets at spots like Zwart Goud and InDeep’n’Dance, which are hosting in-store DJ sessions, crate-digging events and artist meet-and-greets. Zwart Goud celebrates its 10th anniversary this year, and invites none other than Richie Hawtin to the store, among others. And each ADE, house legend Louie Vega drops into the Rush Hour store for a free vinyl set - so keep an eye out for that tradition as well. Whether you’re a seasoned collector hunting for rare pressings or just a curious passerby, these informal sessions are a wonderful way to experience Amsterdam's music culture up close.
Radio & Livestreams
Can’t make it out to an event in person? ADE x 750 has you covered with plenty of radio shows and livestreams that bring the celebration to wherever you are. Throughout the week, tune in to broadcasts highlighting the diversity of Amsterdam’s music scene. For example, a marathon broadcast awaits the hardcore music nerds: a 60-hour “Random Vinyl Marathon” featuring 50 different DJs spinning back-to-back on the decks non-stop. Two and a half days of continuous vinyl that's streamed live throughout. Other pop-up radio streams, like Bottleshop Soundsystem’s ADE radio, will be showcasing local talent and niche genres throughout the week as well.
Active & Wellness Events
Balancing out all the music and nightlife, ADE x 750 also encourages you to get moving in body and mind. Health and wellness activities woven into the program ensure that the celebration touches all aspects of life in Amsterdam. For instance, you can start your morning with Yotecha Techno Yoga, a high-energy yoga session that swaps soothing spa music for deep techno beats. If running is more your speed, join fellow enthusiasts for the Ravers2Runners charity 5K run around Westerpark. This annual fun run invites dance music fans to hit the pavement together for a good cause. On the meditative side, there are breathwork and mindfulness sessions, like the aptly named Breath of Freedom, where you can recalibrate your mind with guided breathing exercises set to gentle electronic soundscapes. ADE x 750 even bridges generations: Het Danspaleis (The Dancing Palace) is a traveling dance party that pops up at nursing homes and community centers throughout the week, bringing joy to Amsterdam’s elder residents. In fact, Het Danspaleis explicitly aims to combat senior loneliness by getting older ravers back on the floor for waltzes and merengue.

Food, Brunches & Beats
The ADE x 750 menu proves that music and food make an excellent pair, with a range of brunch parties, dinners and tasting events. If you’re an early bird, kick off your day at Wake Up Club x Lowlander and turn your breakfast into a dance affair. On the other end of the clock, art’otel’s Boogie Brunch invites you to sleep in and then groove into the afternoon with disco beats over a lavish brunch buffet. For those who prefer dinner and a show, ADE x 750 offers intimate listening dinner experiences: on multiple evenings, limited-seat events pair gourmet dining with curated music. For example, Café Wu features a Japanese izakaya-style dinner with a sake tasting, scored by ambient soundscapes from artist Kuni Mogami. And we can’t forget the Pancake Sessions, a fun-loving event where duo D’Angello & Francis serve up a three-hour DJ set and free “acid smiley” pancakes on the side.
Art & Exhibitions
Electronic music meets visual art in several intriguing exhibitions during ADE x 750. One must-see is “Portraits of Music” at the Leica Gallery Amsterdam, a photography showcase by acclaimed Dutch photographer Bastiaan Woudt, featuring a series of striking portraits of leading electronic music artists alongside emerging talents from the Conservatory of Haarlem. Meanwhile, festival aficionados can indulge in some nostalgia at the Tomorrowland Expo hosted at De Rode Hoed. This exhibit celebrates one of the world’s most famous dance festivals with an immersive collection of memorabilia and memories; a treat for anyone curious about global EDM culture. And for something truly offbeat, check out “Dutch Candy: The Art of XTC” at Serieuze Zaken gallery, which displays macro photography of 350 ecstasy pills from the past 20 years. It’s a fascinating look at design and subculture, showcasing their logos, colors and hidden stories through prints, stickers and merch.
Nightlife & DJ Showcases
Beyond the cultural offering, the ADE x 750 program lights up almost every corner of Amsterdam with parties and showcases - many of them free - so you can club-hop even if you don’t have a festival ticket. The ADE Friends x 750 lineup is all about community-driven events, meaning all types of promoters and labels are hosting all week long. For example, Mozambique-based label My Other Side of the Moon teams up with partners for a showcase of global afro house talent, and Electric Friends throws a “Together as One” label night featuring back-to-back DJ sets. You'll even find some unexpected venue twists, like an audiovisual rave in a cinema hall for the LGBTQI+ community courtesy of Freqy Rhythm at Studio/K.
