Press play: Spotify is ADE 2022's official audio partner
The Swedish streaming giant joins the festivities on both and offline, hosting a Spotify for Artists Masterclass for emerging artists and DJs on October 21, to learn how they can get the most out of the streaming platform from industry experts. Touching on new DJ-focused features and detailed genre trends and developments, the Spotify team is taking you on a personal tour through the creative tools and resources they’re building to help artists find and connect with an audience on and off the platform. One of those features is the newly minted DJ Mix feature, allowing DJs to add allowing DJs to partner with Spotify on special mixes, available only on the platform. The tool is already being leveraged by artists the likes of Martin Garrix, Quintino, ANNA, and Desiree.
Lighting up the night
That same Friday evening, an extraordinary spectacle is waiting for you high above the north bank of the IJ river. At the top of every hour between 20:00 and 23:00, turn your eyes towards the sprawling NDSM area and you'll see a glimmering flock of hundreds of drones sweeping the skies, pulsating to DJ mixes by Tiësto, Aluna, BLOND:ISH and Yung Bae. Each show will last for 15 minutes, giving you additional reasons to celebrate the start of the ADE weekend.
