Audio Obscura flips the lens on ADE 2025

Monday, 01 September 2025
Like light entering a camera obscura, Audio Obscura flips perspectives and reshapes spaces into unexpected worlds of sound. The Amsterdam-based promoter is known for staging cutting-edge dance music in breathtaking, often off-limits locations. From train stations to museums, historic landmarks to industrial giants. This ADE, the lens once again focuses on RAWFACTORY: a rarely accessible site stripped to its essence, built for intensity, and open to the public only during these four days of sonic immersion.

ADE Thursday: Audio Obscura x Hangar

Opening night kicks off with a lineup built for euphoria, retro touch, and high-energy dancefloor dynamics. Audio Obscura links up with Belgian collective Hangar, renowned for turning industrial spaces into high-voltage playgrounds.

Rotterdam’sLAMMER teams up with Liverpool’s Kyle Starkey in a back-to-back that fuses house, trance, and techno into something both sassy and nostalgic. From there, the energy shifts as Lucky Done Goneand Kyra Khaldi take the reins with a blend of woozy bass, emotional depth, and trippy, soulful rhythms. The night then bends toward the futuristic with Young UK talent, Miamor, who weaves classic R&B flavors into wavey, forward-leaning beats, before circling back to Amsterdam's own with duo Newtone, who balance old-school house foundations with modern energy. Finally, the night’s harder edge arrives with Odymel, fusing retro Italo synths, electro breaks, techno, and EBM into cathartic sets that are both emotional and relentlessly energetic.

ADE Friday by Day: Joseph Capriati presents Metamorfosi

ADE Friday’s program introduces Joseph Capriati, one of Italy’s most accomplished selectors and producers, performing at both the day and night editions of his residency. His globally celebrated Metamorfosi, born in Ibiza, arrives in Amsterdam for the first time, promising a ‘full-body ritual’ of hypnotic house and peak-time techno. Leading the journey, he brings Metamorfosi to life across RAWFACTORY’s two rooms, unfolding from deep atmospheres to climactic crescendos designed to hold dancers from daylight into dusk.

The day program brings Siberian-born, Naples-based Anfisa Letyago with her atmospheric, groove-heavy techno, the kind that has won support from titans like Carl Cox and Moby. Her hypnotic grooves set the stage for Berlin’s Ellen Allien, whose futuristic, experimental edge has made her a force in electronic music since the early 1990s. They’re joined by a next generation pushing fresh grooves: Romania’s Kidoo, Dutch breakout Mau P, Milanese producer Simone Zino, and French favourite Traumer, each reshaping house and techno with distinctive flavour and flow.

ADE Friday by Night: Metamorfosi After Dark

If the day program embodies hypnotic build and layered ritual, Friday night at RAWFACTORY shifts toward lighter, groove-led energy. Capriati extends his curatorial vision into a space defined by rolling basslines, funk-tinged rhythms, and fluid tech-house momentum. It is a program built for movement and connection.

The night unfolds with Italian artists: Blackchild’s disco-infused house and Marco Tropeano's blend of techno and house colored by funk, soul, and jazz. They're joined by Amsterdam’s Toman, who adds sleek, minimal grooves, while Ukrainian standout Lola Palmer threads deep, psychedelic textures with a delicate touch.

ADE Saturday by Day: Audio Obscura x Innervisions 20 Years

On ADE Saturday, Audio Obscura partners with Innervisions to celebrate its 20th anniversary. Few collectives embody boundary-pushing sound like Innervisions, and for two decades, they’ve championed forward-thinking artists who treat dance music as a constant experiment.

This one-day edition at RAWFACTORY is both a homecoming and a future-facing statement: a marathon built for full presence, deep listening, and relentless energy. Last year’s collaboration brought one of ADE’s most talked-about days, and this special 20 Years of Innervisions promises to push even further.

ADE Saturday by Night: High-Energy Fusion Finale

As day turns to night, RAWFACTORY’s closing chapter for ADE ignites with a back-to-back-to-back that embodies dance music’s most joyous excess. Chloé Caillet, MALUGI, and salute converge for a rare triple set, each bringing distinct identities that fuse into a single current of energy. Caillet’s genre-blurring global sound, MALUGI’s cheeky, fast-paced club power, and Salute’s euphoric emotionality collide to create a set built on contrasts, yet united by pure dancefloor release.

From Hangar's industrial force to Capriati's Metamorfosi, Intervensions' 20-year celebration and a finale of pure release, Audio Obscura reshapes RAWFACTORY at every turn. Like light inverted in a camera obscura, this rare site is flipped into sound: an image of ADE you'll only experience here.
