Ruben is a seasoned veteran in the event ticketing space with a strong track record of leadership and innovation. Beginning as a co‑founder of Ticketscript in Amsterdam in 2006, he helped build one of Europe’s most successful self‑service ticketing platforms, empowering event organisers - especially within the electronic music scene - to take control of ticket sales, live data insights, and customer engagement with a user‑centric, tech‑driven approach.

Ticketscript grew rapidly across Europe, expanding into the UK, Germany, Spain, and Belgium - with over 100,000 events sold through the platform, including major names like Amnesia Ibiza, Pacha, Awakenings and Dekmantel. In 2016, Ticketscript processed tens of millions of tickets, and shortly after, in January 2017, it was acquired by global event technology leader Eventbrite. An acquisition that propelled Eventbrite to become Europe’s third‑largest ticketing platform

Today, Ruben applies his deep industry experience to his role as Chief Product & Technology Officer at TicketSwap, one of the world’s leading fan-to-fan marketplaces. At TicketSwap, he drives innovation across product, engineering, and data to make ticket exchange safer, fairer, and more seamless for millions of fans globally.
