Ronny Hammond (NL)

Artist

Everything that this master behind the decks exudes is pure funk.
Whether we're talking about house, disco, hip-hop, soul, or funk itself—Ronny drops them all.

This seasoned funk enthusiast first started spinning records for audiences in the late 1980s across various clubs. Over the years, he’s been seen behind the turntables all over the country and beyond—Antwerp, Ghent, Paris, London, Venice, Ibiza... even Egypt and Bali.

In the early days of ID&T, he had his own Sunday afternoon show on ID&T Radio called *The Cool Sessions*, a relaxed yet gritty program. He also provided monthly mixtapes for Giel-Jazz on Radio 6 for four years.

Many festivals, clubs, and concert halls have danced to the sounds of “The Hammond”—from Dance Valley and Lowlands to Trek, Magneet Festival, Melkweg, Tivoli, Nighttown, Doornroosje, and more.

Ronny Hammond was also among the first DJs to perform live alongside musicians. He’s shared stages with Benjamin Herman, Rob Van Der Wouw, Wouter Schueler, Young Sinatras, The Funkstamatics, and others—playing saxophone, trumpet, drums, percussion, violin, flute... you name it.

In short, there are few moments when “The Hammond” isn’t surrounded by music—music is simply his life.
