RO ()

RO is an Amsterdam-based DJ with a sound rooted in UK house, bouncy basslines and percussive, techy rhythms. Her high-energy sets are characterized by punchy beats with a playful edge and an instinctive feel for flow.

With a background in both piano and dance, music has been a constant in her life. She first stepped behind the decks as part of a DJ duo with Ykie, who is also her partner in daily life, where they moved from house parties in Amsterdam to the city’s club scene and beyond.

Since then, RO has played in Japan, South Korea and Sri Lanka, as well as at various venues in Amsterdam including Faralda Crane Hotel, Yellow House, Pacific and Loop51. She also played the Liberation Day Festival by Boogie House at Westerpark in Amsterdam and was invited to play at MAXA at Burning Man USA in Black Rock City, Nevada.

Today, she performs on both digital and vinyl, exploring different approaches to house music.
