Qi M0N0 is a young female, DJ/producer, known as 'the girl in the kimono.'
She spent several years travelling in South East Asia, getting a true taste of their cultures by making cities such as Hongkong, Bangkok and Manila her home. Currently she’s living in Amsterdam, developing her own sound by studying electronic music production. Every week you can find her at work in the basement of golds: Zwart Goud, a record shop located in the heart of Amsterdam.
Her DJ sets flow from experimental beats with atmospheric influences to punchy electro / breakbeat and oddities, combining the two extremes in music: soothing ambience with energetic chaos. She takes you on a journey, guides you, but she never leads the way.
