Speaker (Ticketswap)

Oscar Kriek is Director of Partnerships at TicketSwap (www.ticketswap.com), a safe and trusted ticketing marketplace operating in 42 markets, centralising ticket demand and supply within a highly engaged fan community of over 18 million users worldwide. Through secure integrations with over 93 ticketing companies, TicketSwap supports major events, venues, festivals, artists, and labels worldwide. The mobile-first platform offers valuable data insights and effective marketing tools that boost primary sales, while also maximising resale potential and reaching highly relevant audiences.

Oscar has been working in the event industry since the early 2000’s, gathering knowledge and experience at multiple links of the industry value chain. From artist agency to event promoter and from event venue to online media. He was one of the founding members of a mobile first media platform called I’M IN which launched in 2013. With over 1.2 million users within the first 24 months, I’M IN was the fastest growing mobile app in the Netherlands at that time.

In 2016, Oscar joined Paylogic where he reported directly to the CEO and became an active member of the Amsterdam Dance Event Foundation since 2016 where he’s responsible for part of the annual ADE Pro conference program. His initial responsibility at Paylogic was the rebranding and repositioning of the company as a first step in the acquisition, a process he supported directly as the youngest member of the management team. After the acquisition by Vivendi and merger with See Tickets, Oscar became a senior business strategist.

Oscar joined TicketSwap in 2021 as the Head of Business Strategy and the youngest member of the management team. Within this role he developed new business models, new product propositions and multiple brand campaigns with partners such as Heineken, Domino’s Pizza, Red Bull, UBER Eats, Mentos and Swapfiets. Within two years he was promoted to Director of Partnerships, responsible for scaling the operation globally, building teams in over 14 (and counting) countries and managing an international partner portfolio with 93 ticketing integrations and over 50.000 partnered events.
