Hailing from the UK, but firmly settled in his adopted Austrian homeland, Orsen has caused quite a stir with his unique blend of progressive, deeper edged house and techno oriented productions, taking inspiration from multiple styles of electronic music, unusual field recordings and sound design to form a fundamental basis for his material.
A burgeoning talent on the underground dance music scene, Orsen has seen his original productions and remixes signed to Cid Inc’s Replug Records, highly respected US based labels Proton and Particles and a much anticipated debut on Hernan Cattaneo’s Sudbeat Music, which went on to reach the coveted #1 spot in Beatport’s Progressive House Top 100. The five track ‘Komorebi‘ EP quickly made Orsen a name to watch out for, adding further to his swift rise to the forefront of the underground scene. Orsen’s current “in demand” status as a producer and remixer is owed in part to his personal ethos of writing original music with an immediate sonic identity and with wide ranging support and recognition from the likes of Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Cid Inc, Guy J, Eelke Kleijn, Dosem, Max Graham, Darin Epsilon, Mitch Alexander and many others only serves to push the Orsen train further along the tracks.
Although Orsen is a relatively new moniker, Dan has been working on the peripherals of the dance music industry for some years, aswell as previously releasing music under different aliases. With this experience, Dan recently joined Replug Records as Co-Label Manager, working closely with label boss, Cid Inc on all A&R, signings, release management and label promotion.
