For two decades, she has been a pioneering force in Brazil’s music industry, building a unique trajectory defined by innovation and unwavering authenticity Monique Dardenne, a law graduate, has been working in the music industry for 20 years as a booker for national and international artists, career manager, researcher, strategist, and music curator with a focus on diversity.
She was responsible for bringing the British WebTV Boiler Room to Brazil in 2013, where she served as Director for three years, delivering 14 sessions across Brazil and a documentary produced by Kondzilla.
At Skol Music Platform, she played the role of Label Manager, working directly on release strategies for artists such as Karol Conká, Tropkillaz, Mahmundi, Jaloo, among others. She was also a music curator at CCSP – Centro Cultural São Paulo, one of the most important public cultural institutions in the state of São Paulo.
For the past nine years, she has been a co-founder of the Women’s Music Event (WME) Platform – one of the leading movements for gender equity in music – with initiatives such as the WME Conference, the WME Awards by Billboard, the IGUAL Seal, which certifies initiatives with gender parity in their teams and lineups, and a Professional Database.
WME has been intensely active in the music industry, achieving significant results for gender equity.
And in 2025, she will launch her newest project, M_AI or Música Que Não Toca Por Aí (Music That Isn’t Played Everywhere), a music club that connects industry professionals, creates content, and experiences focused on experimentation and innovation.
