Birdkids has been launched primarily as a label by Michael Beim in 2012, coming from a background in design and product development for creative agencies, Michael has been part-time producing and DJing since the 90s. Having had a classical piano upbringing but always with an ear for production, experimenting with samplers, synths and electronic instruments as a much-needed counterpart to the world of advertising - the big breakthrough came in the form of a release for Sonar Kollektiv, immediately licensed by Defected / Strictly Rhythm UK and a subsequent string of remixes and releases for internationally acclaimed artists and labels such as Gigolo Records.
