Mark Williamson (GB)

Leads the Spotify Artist Services team in Europe, which is responsible for helping artists understand and navigate the Spotify business model, and help them to use Spotify to grow their careers. Mark’s team is the main point of contact for artists and their teams at Spotify, and also represents artists’ interests to the business. In this role, Mark has delivered a number of key projects, including helping to set up the initial Artist Services function at Spotify, delivering Artist Apps for the Spotify platform, creating the Spotify Artist Grant with the MMF, and engaging artists with Spotify’s Follow functionality. Prior to Spotify, Mark worked in commercial roles in a number of tech start-ups in the UK. He also made a very healthy living on the side as a professional poker player. Mark is a huge music fan – both as a job and as a hobby - and has played the guitar for over 20 years. His current obsessions are Open D tuning and his new all-mahogany Martin guitar. Hailing originally from Kenya, Mark’s ultimate goal is to return to a warm country and go surfing every day.
