Mark Pickup (AE)

Mark Pickup is the Founder & Managing Director of Mixmag UAE, as well as a label boss, a seasoned promoter and has been DJ'ing under various alias's for over 25 years. He has been a media professional for 3 decades, crossing the boundaries of where media and nightlife / hospitality meet. Mark has always been a strong supporter of the local DJ community in the UAE for over 10 years, giving artists a platform to talk about their music, their local and international gigs as well as creating and curating nightlife awards in the territory to reward the best of the best local DJs / promoters in various categories and to help them grow.

An active artist himself, under his Deep House alias of Arcade 82, he performs a live electronic show alongside vocalist Shyam P, they have released on Toolroom, TRAX, King Street, Dvine Sounds, to name a very small few, as well as having performed all over Europe and the Middle East including Unite With Tomorrowland, Creamfields, Cafe Del Mar Ibiza, Pacha Dubai, Blue Marlin, Southport Weekender Festival and hundreds more. Under his Soul, Funk & Disco alias of Conan The Selector he is A&R / label boss of Hot Gorilla Records.
