Louie Fresco (MX)
Artist
A very important part of the core family of Nitin and Jonny White’s imprint No.19 Music and head of a very successful record label Louie Fresco is finally getting the world to notice him and his talented country Mexico.
Mr. Fresco’s music is ethereal, ominous, experimental, yet it goes very well on the dance floor. Having been working on his album for No.19 for 2 years, Louie hadn’t released any original music on any other labels (apart from his own label MEXA Records) but he has done some remix damage on so many labels such as Defected, Nurvous, Smoke N Mirrors, Strictly Rhythm and a recent remix he did for Ali Love on Dim Mak Records.
Louie is no stranger to success (his remix of Lee Foss’ Cold As Ice stood in #1 for almost 4 weeks on Beatport), and now that his album will be released later this year he claims he is “not nervous at all, just very excited” about it.
But the expectations are high.. His first EP received many amazing reviews and accolades such as Ibiza Voice’s 7.5, and MixMag’s “Tune Of The Month” and the amazing 5 out of 5 stars.
In 2013 Louie released his second EP on No.19 by the name of Autophobia, featuring the stunning vocals of LUNA, which got the remix treatment by none other than his label mates Art Department. In the same month Autophobia was released Louie also had 2 magnificent releases which made a big splash in the scene. The first one was a release on Shir Khan’s imprint Exploited of a collaboration with Betoko and Fritz Helder from Azari & III which got to the top 10 Deep House charts on Beatport, while his first EP on his own MEXA Records called New Hateration got to the #1 spot again on the Nu Disco charts with the remix done by none other than house legend MK.
