As a designer and project lead of Next Nature’s ECO coin, Lewis explores the intersection of our ecology and economy using a systems and human-centric approach. He aims to redesign the invisible technology of money and strives to create new systems that alter behaviour with the end goal of not only changing people’s day to day actions but also their mindset. The ECO coin is a new digital currency that positively rewards people actively contributing to a more sustainable world. It is a community driven solution that will hopefully soon grow to be a global cryptocurrency used by anyone, anywhere to incentivise sustainable actions. To get there we are using festivals as a launching pad to run living labs where we can explore how best to bring this new currency to the world and have already carried out our first experiments at DGTL and Welcome to the Village festival.
