Born and raised in Surinam, the sunny Caribbeans, Lea grew up in a melting pot of different cultures and sounds that formed the core of DJ LEA LI.
In her young time, Her family introduced her to Soul, Salsa, Merengue and Zouk. Which is the core of Lea’s DJ sets.
Once in Amsterdam her experience in music broadened to hip-hop and house in which this melting pot truly came together.
Lea Li spins a mix of Minimal Deep -House- with influences that come from the deep understanding of her ancestral history.
She plays sets that are diverse in tracks of Caribbean roots to soulful melodies and heavy beats in the core.
