The story of Rotterdam based DJ and producer Jamie Lie A Kwie started by participating and eventually winning the most prestigious and biggest DJ contest in the Benelux at the time, the TWSTd DJ contest. This resulted in playing at Holland's finest venues and festivals, such as Awakenings and Rockit Open Air. Coming from winning a contest and being the youngster he was though, it took some time to create a steady base in his hometown.
This changed when he became a resident of the late Catwalk. Playing numerous nights with the likes of Mathias Kaden, Jimpster and Aril Brikha to name a few. With his qualitative, yet energetic performances, always relying on the groove, Jamie has started to grow out to be one of Rotterdam's familiar faces.
The past year he spent a lot of time in the studio resulting in his first release, which got great support from befriended DJ's. Furthermore, in 2011 Jamie started his live act which got picked up very quickly and got him to play at the Amsterdam Dance Event (ADE). His biggest achievement in 2011 definitely was winning the Carl Cox Revolution at Space remix contest, with a remix he did together with his long time friend Jeff Moore of Michel de Hey's 'Curly Wurly'. With his residency at Rotterdam's newest club TOFFLER and a new EP coming up early 2012, next year is proving to be very promising!
