Some people are simply blessed with the gift of good taste, and Gelab is one of those cases. A rara avis in the world of young electronic music producers and DJs, he has managed what others have taken a lifetime career to accomplish: to take his sets halfway across the globe. He grasped early on that his path was to keep searching for his personal sound and musical personality, and that his time to shine would come through hard work. Now in his early twenties, and with a distinct voice uncanny for a producer his age, his time has come, with the start of his career with the new electronic music label Aftercluv and DoctorMusic.dj (Universal Music). Through this label he has released his first singles “Ready Or Not” and “Above The Clouds”, and will continue to do so with his future productions. His single "Kick Fire", a new track designed for the dance floor, was released to kick off his 2016 production streak. It is available as a free download, a gift to his fans for their ongoing support. Such has been the track’s success that he was later commissioned an official remix for Barei’s “Say Yay”, who represented Spain at the Eurovision Contest in May. With this remix he has managed to transform a Pop anthem into a powerful Future House track and has pushed the song from radio airplay to half of the world’s dance floors. But Gelab has no plans to stop there. His second official single, "Human Nature", was released in the beginning of July and showcases the artist’s first approach to Pop music while keeping his trademark electronic influences. The track is a perfect crossover and aims to reach the top of the international radio charts. The trap influenced remix Luca Testa provided for “Human Nature” is also a testimony of Gelab’s good eye when it comes to select artists to collaborate with. Luca has turned out to be one of the most prolific producers in recent years with releases and remixes for labels such as Mad Decent, Dim Mak, Panda Funk or Hysteria among others. On June 2017 Gelab will be back with "Armor", another summer anthem! The track's string progressions and whistle melody will gently take you on a journey while it builds up in tension. To top it all, Gelab counts with B-Law on vocals to lead this musical rollercoaster. With "Armor", Gelab delivers an amazing and powerfull feel-good track infused with catchy melodies and twists you won't be able to take off your head! Gelab’s career has moved forward relentlessly ever since the first time he got behind the decks to pump a party. After a few stints playing at some of the most legendary clubs in the Balearic Islands, Gelab got his first big break in 2014 with a residency at the Ibiza Calling parties, held every Wednesday at Space Ibiza. His weekly triumphs in this booth led him to be commissioned the 2014 Ibiza Calling Compilation CD. Gelab’s killer sets quickly placed him among the newest and most exciting electronic music DJs on the island and internationally, and caught the eye of the best festivals and clubs in the world, such as UMF Miami, UMF Europe, Rage Festival South Africa, Dreambeach, Ushuaia, Colosseum, Dreambeach Festival, Zouk Singapore, or Space Moscow, in which he opened for Tiesto for the club’s inauguration. This intense hype sent Gelab off on an international touring frenzy in which he played venues around the five continents, sharing the booth with artists like Nervo, Steve Aoki, Hardwell, Nicky Romero, R3hab, Krewella, DJ Bl3nd, or Quintino, among many others. Thanks to the success of his first single “Ready or Not” across the charts, his tour “Ready, Steady, Go!” is taking him to the five continents, and there are great expectations revolving around his future releases. Ready, Steady, Go! is also the name of his monthly podcast series, which came to light this last February with the release of its first episode.
