Producer, DJ, and now label owner: Doc Brown has pushed the limits of tech house with his dark, twisted, hypnotic productions and legendary DJ sets. Releasing on labels like Stereo Productions, UNDR THE RADR, Farris Wheel, Lapsus Music, Insomniac, Wyldcard—-and more recently his own Unlearn:Records-—he remains one of the most consistently innovative producers in the game. Having experimented with MIDI programming and sequencing as a teenager, it wasn’t until moving to Miami and getting his first set of 1200s that Doc merged his passion for electronic music with his natural ability as a selector to rock a party. His lifetime passion for music is unmistakable in his productions and undeniable in his performances.Firmly rooted in the underground, Doc's unique sound resonates with both well-informed dancefloors and international tastemakers: support on his baseline-driven productions has come from a diverse spectrum of artists, including Tiesto, Danny Tenaglia, Claptone, Green Velvet, Solardo, Benny Benassi, MK, Nicole Moudaber, Leftwing & Kody, Wally Lopez, Fedde Le Grand, Damian Lazarus, and even hometown legend Oscar G. And in 2018, after dropping one of Doc's unreleased demos at Elrow in Peru, tech house heroes Chus & Ceballos immediately signed and released Doc's biggest tune to date, Totally, to their legendary Spanish imprint.In 2020, Doc launched Unlearn:Records with a philosophy to properly invest in the careers of the artists releasing on the label. The label will serve as an outlet for his own fresh, unique take on tech house and techno, as well as showcasing other artists producing incredible music that sits a little outside of the status quo—-focusing on dark grooves, rolling beats and an abundance of energy in every release.
"Setting up a label was something I've wanted to do for a long time, but it's really only been in the last year that I've been able to solidify my vision for what I want to achieve," says Doc. "Truth is, without investment in a release, there really isn't much chance of success, and very few labels, outside of the big ones, are making those investments.

"The current system perpetuates the idea that you need to have a big fan based to get signed, which stifles creativity and new artist development, and that you need to sign to one of the big 'gatekeeper' labels to be successful. Unlearn:Records is based on the idea that we may need to rethink the current artist/label relationship at its core."
With an ongoing Groove Cruise residency, performances at BPM Festival and five incredible EDC sets under his belt, Doc can be found rocking his signature sound at pool parties from Miami to Vegas and club dates worldwide. Working tirelessly to build a reputation on talent, hard work and determination, it's a safe bet you'll be hearing a lot more from Doc Brown—-and Unlearn:Records—-in the near future.
