GRAMMY NOMINATED PRODUCER / DJ / ENGINEER

Born into a creative household—his father a musician and his mother an abstract painter—Eric Welton, better known as Emmaculate, seemed destined for the arts from the start. Growing up in Elgin, on the outskirts of Chicago, he discovered House Music as a teenager in the late ’80s and quickly fell in love with the sound that shaped a city and, ultimately, his life.

By 1990, Eric had begun collecting vinyl, DJing, and producing music. His meticulous ear and commitment to quality earned him the nickname Emmaculate — a name that would soon resonate far beyond Chicago. Deeply rooted in House, Hip Hop, and R&B, he established himself as one of the city’s most sought-after producers and mix engineers, collaborating with a range of artists and learning directly from the legends who built Chicago’s House Music legacy.

In 2017, Emmaculate began releasing his own music as an artist. His discography now includes originals and remixes on iconic labels like Ultra, Helix, Mirror Ball, Big Love, Soulfuric, Fool’s Gold, Yoruba, Nervous, Reel People, Dopewax, Z Records, Peppermint Jam, and Djoon, among others. His tracks have topped the Traxsource charts multiple times, and his remix of Robin S’s classic “Show Me Love” was the platform’s overall #1 selling record of 2022. The same year, his remix of Mary J. Blige’s “Good Morning Gorgeous” was the 3rd highest selling Afro House track.

Emmaculate’s talent has also earned him three consecutive Grammy nominations: as a producer on Ten City’s Judgement(2021), a mix engineer on Beyoncé’s “Break My Soul (Terry Hunter Remix)” (2022), and mix engineer on Mariah Carey’s “Workin’ Hard (Terry Hunter Remix)” (2023). His recent projects include remixes for Incognito, Roy Ayers, Barbara Tucker, and Shawn Christopher, along with producing a forth coming Ten City album for Nervous Records slated for 2025.

As a DJ, Emmaculate has captivated audiences worldwide, playing at legendary events like the Chosen Few Picnic & Festival (Chicago), Southport Weekender (UK), Amsterdam Dance Event (Netherlands), SXSW (Austin), Miami Music Week (Florida), Suncebeat (Croatia), Mi Casa Holiday (Mexico), and Charivari (Detroit). For the past three years, he has been recognized among the Top 20 Artists on Traxsource.

With decades of dedication and an unmistakable touch, Emmaculate remains a driving force in dance music—and is now booking international dates for 2025.
