DJ Bongz is an award winning South African House DJ, artist and record label owner. He is the only South African DJ to sell double Platinum with the 2008 "Survival of the Fittest" album and the 2011 "Soul Assertion Vol.1" album.
He is the creator of the "Gwara Gwara" dance that first swept South Africa by storm and then became a global dance sensation, with the dance famously being performed by Rihanna at the Grammy Awards. The dance was also performed by both Ciara and Childish Gambino and appeared in the Black Panther Challenge 2024 album flip Side with PHINOVA
