Chris Johnson (GB)

Chris is a UK-based festival organiser and been actively involved in the live events industry for 25+ years. He is co-founder and Managing Director of the pioneering Shambala festival (UK); co-founder and Chair of the Vision for Sustainable Events, the UK festival industry’s environmental forum; co-founder and CEO of charity onboard.earth, which is ‘on a mission to put low carbon travel at the heart of live events’; co-founder and board member of the Association of Independent Festivals (AIF), member of the LIVE Green group and co-author of the LIVE Green Declaration; occasional lecturer, facilitator and associate consultant with Green Events Nederland’s (ND) and Julies Bicycle (UK), and an active member of the Green Deal Circular Festivals team.
