Celine Cairo (Amsterdam, 1990) is a singer/songwriter and since her debut in 2010, she has been writing idiosyncratic pop songs with personal lyrics, mixing acoustic instruments with layered electronics and live drums. She released several EPs independently and then recorded her debut album Free Fall in Los Angeles, for which she won a Zilveren Notekraker. She has been touring pop and theater halls with her regular band since 2014 and has performed in the Concertgebouw, Carnegie Hall, Paradiso, TivoliVredenburg and ESNS. Recently her second studio album Overflow was released, which she wrote and recorded in Amsterdam and London with producer Tim Bran (London Grammar, Birdy). She previously worked with Bill Lefler (Ingrid Michaelson, Dotan), Jorrit Kleijnen (Haevn) and artist/producer Fink. Her songs have been synced in various American series such as the Oprah-produced Queen Sugar and hit series Love, Victor.
