Bram van Ravenhorst (NL)

Co-founding the notorious INSTINCT rave parties and the underground techno club ECHO BAY, Bram van Ravenhorst became one of the most prominent foreign figures in the fast-paced electronic scene of Chongqing, China. After earning his bachelor’s degree in Industrial Product Design, Bram decided to move to China to study Chinese language and culture. Living and working in the bustling city of Chongqing, home to over 30 million people, he immersed himself in a vibrant cultural environment that shaped him into a pragmatic problem solver with a deep passion for nightlife and community.

As an event organizer, he ran a nightclub and curated numerous events that blended creativity and raw energy. When the Covid-19 pandemic hit, he returned to the Netherlands, where he continued his artistic journey as a light artist and scenographer, merging his creativity and technical expertise to explore the art of light, space, and atmosphere.
