Alain Pauwels is a progressive house deejay/producer based near Antwerp, Belgium.
Led by a profound love for progressive house music, surrounded by passionate professionals, practitioners and a supportive progressive house family, Alain Pauwels has been driven to share his passion of mixing sublime tracks and to bring joy across all boundaries.
Inspired by amazing deejays and producers such as Hernan Cattaneo, Nick Warren, Guy J, Marcelo Vasami, Graziano Raffa and many more artists from the Sudbeat, The Soundgarden, Lost & Found family and other well-respected labels, Alain has been encouraged on his mixing and sound creation and started sharing his mixes under the PROGRESSIVA concept on Soundcloud.
His dedication to provide uplifting progressive house mixing, with an occasional flavor of deep house, organic house and melodic techno, has eventually been recognized in November 2018 by respected deejays in the Amsterdam progressive house scene which got him in touch with the Proton Radio station. This resulted vastly in clinching his spot in the Proton Radio resident DJ-team hosting his own monthly PROGRESSIVA show which started in March 2019, inviting international dj’s/producers. Apart from the Proton radio show, he is also performing monthly on the Belgian internet radio station XBEAT.
He started to play gigs in June 2019 at private progressive house parties. Alain has been performing as from then frequently at Club NL, an Amsterdam club icon. He became resident at the Connecting Souls nights organized by the much-respected Dutch DJ Clay van Dijk. Since 2022 he shared the decks with Hermanez, Eran Aviner, Madloch, Lost Desert, Kasper Koman, Nicolas Rada, Marcelo Vasami, Alex O'Rion, Dmitry Molosh to name a few.
As from October 2019 Alain has started producing with French producer Arnold Toutain, which resulted in first release “Ginger Mercury”, available on Nature Rec, being played straight away by Hernan Cattaneo on the Resident show end November 2019. Each release thereafter has been supported by El Maestro and many other well respected artists in the scene. Since 2020 releases are available on Nature Rec and as from October 2021 also on Future Avenue and Musique de Lune Records. And in 2023 he also releases on 3rd Avenue.
Part of Movement Bookings since the start of 2023 and forthcoming highlight was being part of the Mainstage line-up of Hartstocht Festival (NL) this summer. Making his debut at Movement’s ADE showcases at both Kadinsky and Club Roots.
