AFU (KE)

Born in Nairobi, AFU was influenced at an early age by a mixture of different genres. His introduction to electronic music in the mid-2000s was mainly associated with the growing trance scene at the time. His diverse sound has evolved into a variety of melodic harmonies with afro and tech influences. AFU joined Muze Club (DJ Mag Top 100) as a resident in 2022. He has played alongside notable artists such as Francis Mercier, Mobi Dixon, FNX Omar, Oscar Mbo and DJ Le Soul, as well as back to back sets with DJs such as Enoo Napa, Kasango, Nitefreak, Hyenah, SGVO, Fanzo and Cornelius SA. In 2023, he took on a new role at the prestigious Alchemist Bar in Nairobi, curating high-quality electronic music events which have become the biggest club nights in the East African region. He regularly makes appearances at several other events including label showcases and festivals in the Kenyan and wider African Scene.
